Instructions[edit]

Issuance of Passports falls under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

For minors who will be applying for the passport, they must be accompanied by both of their parents. In case one of the child's parent couldn't make it to the passport office, the other parent must show notarized document stating the reason for the parent's absence. This document would not be necessary if one of the child's parent is deceased, the other parent can just simply show up at the passport office with the minor. Foster child must be accompanied by their guardian.

In case the passport was stolen or lost, the holder must immediately or not later than 8 days inform the police regarding the incident. If the incident happened abroad, the citizen should immediately report police authorities in the country where the passport was stolen or lost. The passport will be declared invalid once the holder reports the incident to the competent authority, and this will allow the holder to request for a new one.

This document does not in itself entitle the passport holder entry into another country, nor consular protection while abroad nor any other privileges. However, it does normally allows the passport holder to return to the country where the passport was issued.
